What these settings mean on my broadband gateway?

Power Setting (default set at 4)
Channel (deafult set at 6 2437 MHz)

Ok, here are the things to try.
DON’T change the DTIM, it isn’t the issue at all.

Do try a different channel FIRST! channel 6 is the default for all linksys routers and hundreds of others. Its just plain busy! Change it to 1 then 11, if you still have short range try 4 or 9 and see if you get better coverage.
Second: power setting. Check to see what is HIGHER power, if there is one. You are set at 4 see if there is a 5 or 6 etc. Setting to higher power will increase range BUT use is with caution, that also will burn out the radio if set too high. Use only what is needed!
That should get you good coverage. As a last ditch effort you could add better antennas with more gain. But even that in most homes is not needed.
