DSL comes through the phone lines, and it is a type of Broadband like cable, cable comes through your tv cable and is faster than DSL.
so if you have a phone line, and you buy dsl they will send you a modem that lets you plug Ethernet cables into it and into computer
same thing with cable you get a modem that “converts” it to ethernet
Yes DSL works through phone lines. and the other ones you are talking about work through the cable lines, so if you have tv cable you can get the faster cable broadband.
DSL = Digital Subscriber Line
Ethernet = Network Interface Card
Check with the providers in your area and see if broadband is available.
I’d call the phone company to see if DSL is available since Cable isn’t. There is always satellite Internet as well…but it’s expensive I hear. DSL is one type of broadband, ethernet is just the port on the back of your machine that looks like a fat telephone cord that you hook up to your broadband modem.
Man…..dial up is all that’s available out there???
Ski’s right
Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a high speed connection that uses the same wires as a regular telephone line
