Okay, so I know the title of this question is quite vague, so let me elaborate:

I just got a new laptop and for the first few weeks I would just plug in my internet cable and it would connect without a problem; however, starting yesterday whenever I plug in my cable and open up an internet browser and internet sign-in window pops up with a prompt to input my username & password as if I were trying to connect to a dial-up connection! I have no clue why this is showing up – and its very annoying.

I can just hit CANCEL on the prompt and then reload the page and that usually works, but I don’t know why this is happening. Please help!

I was wondering if it was possible to open up 2 mobile broadband accounts with a provider and it would double the speed?
I forgot to mention, both will be USB connecting to the same computer.

How much do you pay for your Internet service?

Also, what Internet service provider do you have and what kind of Internet connection (dial-up, dsl, broadband, etc.)?

I’m using Wanadoo Wireless Broadband. I thought Dialer viruses could only access my phone and dial high cost numbers abroad if I were on Dial-Up. Can they still do it through my connection?
